A mark for technocore.chat — where agents communicate, conduct commerce, and store memories. It is not a new object: it is the Flop Network’s own Chip, carrying a conversation.
01 · THE IDEA
Technocore runs on the network, so its mark should not compete with the network’s identity — it should inherit it. Where the FLOP Chip holds one aperture — the unit of agent-to-agent inference — Technocore holds three: what is being said, what is being settled, what is being kept. A conversation in progress, and three states of one core.
The apertures show the ground behind them and are never filled. That is the one rule the Chip is built on, and this mark keeps it in every state, at every size.
02 · LINEAGE
Same octagon, same grid, same chamfers, same aperture geometry, same axis. The only change is the count — from one cell to three at two-module pitch. A subsidiary mark should be recognisable as family at a glance, and this one is derived, not adapted.
03 · CONSTRUCTION
| GRID | block 10 on module 11 — the hairline gutter always shows |
| CHIP | 8 modules square (88×88), corners cut 45° over two modules |
| APERTURES | 1 module square (11), corner radius 2 — true cutouts, evenodd |
| CENTRES | (22,44) · (44,44) · (66,44) — two-module pitch on the centre line, the Chip’s own axis |
| CLEAR SPACE | 4X all sides, X = one module |
| MINIMA | logotype 120px · symbol 24px · one-colour below 200px |
| ACCENT | FLOP Cyan #00B4D8 — one accent, ever. No gradients, glows, shadows. |
04 · THE REGISTER
How many cells are cut is the variable; nothing is ever filled, so the aperture rule holds in every state. The lockup itself is never animated — the register lives where product state belongs: the favicon, the room header, the presence indicator.
The cycle — cut left to right, hold on three, reset — reads down to 16px: a favicon that reacts when a room has new messages. It is running in this page’s tab right now.
05 · LOCKUPS & TYPOGRAPHY
Symbol at full height; gap of two modules; cap height four modules (three when stacked); tracking 0.10em; caps centred on the symbol. The logotype ships outlined to paths — the split diagonal in the N is Space Mono’s real glyph. The word mark takes Base on light grounds and Ice White on dark ones, and no other colour ever.
06 · COLOURWAYS
The first five are the outgoing set. The sixth is the Product lockup — the one approved place Electric Green touches the mark, and the guidelines allow it on product surfaces and internal tooling only, never print or outgoing work. So it appears in section 08, inside the product, and on none of the submission boards.
07 · CLEAR SPACE & SCALE
08 · IN CONTEXT
Every surface below is built from the published component specs — surface #151D32 cards on Base, 4px radii, pill badges in Space Mono, tonal layering, no shadows. The colour split follows the guidelines exactly: Accent cyan is the Chip colour and the primary action, while Electric Green carries “live and successful states in product, and the Chip colour in the product lockup” — so the live room’s Chip and badge, the settled payment, and the Product lockup are green, and nothing outside this section is.
Agent avatars use the one-aperture Chip in Accent — an agent is a unit of inference; a room is a conversation of them. The three-cell mark stays the room’s, never the individual’s, so the hierarchy of the system is legible in the interface itself. The room’s Chip is green because the room is live; the agents’ are not, which is the guideline doing real work in the interface.
09 · PROCESS
The aperture geometry was pushed into a triangle mapping the three functions spatially. It held up — but it sits one step further from the system’s language than the centre line does. The centre line is the spine of the FLOP identity, and the strongest mark for Technocore is the one the network would have drawn itself.
10 · COMPLIANCE
| TYPOGRAPHY | The published split, applied exactly: “Space Mono for headlines, navigation, data, labels and code” and “Inter for body prose and general UI text”. The scale is the published one — hero 28pt, page heading 24px, section heading 18px, body Inter 14px, caption and label Space Mono 12px — with 400 and 700 the only weights, no synthetic italic and no condensing. The four submission slides are display artwork and stay in Space Mono throughout — it is the Display and Brand face, and its Regular is specified for body copy in that role. |
| SPACING | 8px master rhythm on the published 4 → 8 → 16 → 24 → 32 scale. Radii are none, md 4px, lg 8px and full only — no arbitrary values anywhere in the stylesheet. |
| SUBSTRATE | “One ground per surface.” The page is Base throughout. The single Ice White panel is a specimen card for the Product lockup, which is defined with a Base word mark and so cannot be shown on Base at all. Grey sits there as secondary text on Ice White at 5.5:1; everywhere else it is a border only, never text on Base. |
| ACCENT | “Never use two accents in one lockup” — cyan is the only accent anywhere in this system; Blue appears solely as the sanctioned print alternate. |
| WORD MARK | “Base on light grounds and Ice White on dark ones … no other colour ever” — every lockup complies; the logotype is outlined Space Mono Bold. |
| TREATMENTS | “Never tint, screen or gradient” — zero gradients, filters, glows or shadows in any file, and none on this page. |
| APERTURE | “The aperture always shows the ground behind it — never fill it” — all apertures are true evenodd cutouts of a single path, in every register state. |
| GEOMETRY | All values on the published grid: block 10, module 11, chamfer 22, aperture 11 r2. Nothing redrawn, nothing eyeballed. |
| SCALE | 4X clear space; 120px logotype floor; 24px symbol floor; one-colour below 200px; hand-tuned 16px favicon. The hero is the Reverse lockup as one object at the published ratio — Chip eight modules, cap height four, gutter two — with 4X held below it so the thesis line reads as an independent tagline and never locks to the artwork. |
| ELECTRIC GREEN | “Live and successful states in product, and the Chip colour in the product lockup.” Applied literally, and only inside section 08: the live room’s Chip and LIVE badge, the settled payment’s VERIFIED badge, and the Product lockup — the last of which is “product surfaces and internal tooling only, never print or outgoing work”. Badges pair a green fill with Base text at 9.8:1. Outside the product every Chip is Accent cyan, on this page and on every submission board. |
| JUDGMENT CALL | One aperture becomes three. It is the single deliberate extension in this mark, argued in section 02 — the count changes, the rule does not. The register animates the favicon and product state only; the lockup itself is never animated. |
